Job summary

A leading electronics company in Johor Bahru is looking for an Officer - Shipping & Customs / Export Control. The role involves working closely with forwarders and government authorities to facilitate shipment procedures, supporting the operations team, and maintaining records in ASSIST4 and SAP systems. Candidates should possess a diploma or degree and have at least 3 years of experience in logistics or export control. This position offers an opportunity to engage in various shipping and customs processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Shipping/Logistics/Supply Chain/Export Control Management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with forwarder and authorities for shipment procedures.
• Support operation team and maintain master file.
• Monitor status in ASSIST4 and SAP systems.
• Prepare customs exemption applications and reports.
• Renew Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) license.
• Collect COO from government authorities.
• Complete other ad-hoc assignments.

Officer - Shipping & Customs /Export Control

• To work closely with the forwarder, customs and relevant government authorities for shipment and export control procedures.
• Adequate support for the operation team.
• Maintain master file, problem solving and monitor the status in ASSIST4 Shipping System and SAP System.
• Prepare non-routine shipment, customs exemption application etc.
• Prepare monthly customs report.
• Renew Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) license.
• To prepare, submit application and collect COO from the relevant government authorities.
• Other ad-hoc job assignments assigned by direct supervisor compliance to Corporate Directive.

Required education; knowledges and skills

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration / any discipline.
• More than and/ equivalent 3 years’ experience (Shipping/ Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Export Control Management.
