Job description

As a O&M Engineer working at the Large Scale Solar Farm, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operations of our 30MW Solar Facility located in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This is a full-time position that will have you working closely with our experienced operations team to ensure the reliable and efficient performance of our solar assets.

What you'll be doing

Monitor inverter, transformer, RMU, and SCADA system performance.

Analyze downtime events and assist in corrective actions.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly plant operation reports.

2. Technical Troubleshooting

Support fault diagnosis for string issues, inverter alarms, transformer trips, and switchgear operation.

Assist in coordination with equipment vendors.

Conduct site inspection and assist in rectification works.

3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Participate in routine PM tasks (inverters, RMU/Switchgear, tracker, combiner boxes, etc.).

Assist in performing IR inspection, I-V curve testing, and string measurements.

Ensure spare parts inventory and tools are maintained.

4. Compliance & Safety

Support statutory inspections (ST, TNB GSO, DOSH, Fire Safety).

Ensure all works comply with internal SOPs, O&M standards, and HSE requirements.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare incident reports, defect lists, technical assessments, and vendor follow-ups.

Assist in updating asset registry, maintenance logs, and engineering documentation.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering

Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Knowledge in solar PV systems, inverters, or electrical power systems is an advantage.

Able to work in outdoor/field environment.

Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
