Job description

• Provides direct patient care in Accident & emergency Unit.
• Supervises the delivery of patient care for assigned unit/area.
• Maintains adherence to patient care standards of practice through ongoing coordination and supervision of assigned staff.
• Facilitates communication and collaboration among and between unit staff and other departments/units regarding issues of patient care.
• Participates in the identification, development and establishment of the patient care program for the unit/area.
• Serves as a clinical resource for nursing personnel.
• Coordinates patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues.
• Monitors and resolves customer service issues and provides feedback regarding satisfaction results to Nursing Leadership.
• Facilitates the incorporation of patient safety and quality principles into clinical nursing care.
