You will develop, optimize, and sustain manual, semi‑automated, and automated assembly processes to achieve world‑class productivity, quality, and cost performance.

Our Team

You will be part of a collaborative, cross‑functional engineering team involving Automation, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Tooling, and global suppliers. The team works closely with regional engineering partners to ensure alignment on tooling, equipment, process design, and automation readiness in support of NPI and production goals.

What You Will Do
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain assembly and automated processes for connectors, terminals, housings, and other Molex precision components.
  • Support NPI builds, ensuring process readiness, tooling validation, equipment qualification, and meeting output and quality targets.
  • Work with Automation, R&D, and suppliers on tooling, fixtures, end-effectors, and assembly modules, from design through implementation.
  • Conduct process studies, trials, and capability evaluations to improve yield, cycle time, and line efficiency.
  • Analyze process and equipment data, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement using structured problem‑solving.
  • Prepare documentation including process specifications, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance process stability and manufacturing efficiency.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Hands‑on experience with assembly processes, automation equipment, tooling, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of process defect mechanisms such as misalignment, interference, tolerance issues, mechanical defects, and automation‑related abnormalities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and other Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks for fixture and tooling review.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability to interpret and optimize complex assembly and automation processes.
What Will Put You Ahead
Preferred Qualifications (Process Engineer)
  • Experience supporting NPI builds and automation development projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting process or automation challenges.
Preferred Qualifications (Senior Process Engineer)
  • Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end NPI and automation development projects, from concept through pilot and mass production readiness.
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making skills in driving technical direction and resolving critical engineering issues.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians on process engineering best practices.
  • Established record in implementing long‑term process robustness, capability, and standardization.
