Job summary

A language education provider is looking for a Centre Manager in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring student safety, and maintaining records. Applicants should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and possess a diploma or degree in business management or a related field. Teaching experience is advantageous, and candidates need a good command of English and a willingness to work weekends. Competitive remuneration will be provided.

Job title: Centre Manager
Location of base: Seksyen 9, Shah Alam

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee the daily operations of a CEFL centre, adhering to the company's established guidelines. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Prioritising and ensuring the safety of all students is maintained and upheld
    • Ensuring centre upkeep and image are maintained at all times
    • Arrange classes for all existing and future students of CEFL
    • Ensure the inventory of books is kept at a satisfactory level
    • Manage teachers' movement for all classes (which may include looking for replacements and/or hiring of new and additional teachers where necessary)
    • Managing new enquirers and existing customers' expectations
    • Be responsible for managing the centre’s profits and losses
    • Manage workload with assistant (if any)
  • To maintain and submit any records and reports throughout the operation of a centre as per the given schedule. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Student attendance report
    • Student listings
    • Teacher Activity Logs
    • Collection reports
    • Book orders
    • Etc.
  • To execute any marketing or recruitment activities as designated by CEFL HQ. i.e.:
    • Nationwide Open Day, Recruitment drives, promotions, collaborations, etc.
  • To attend any mandatory trainings by CEFL HQ when necessary.
  • To protect and preserve the goodwill attached to CEFL and also it’s proprietary marks.
  • To be involved in other ad-hoc projects as and when assigned by the Company.
The job requirements:
  • A Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Education, Sales and marketing, or any other related discipline
  • At least 5 years related working experience
  • Good command of the English Language
  • Resourceful and result-oriented
  • Having teaching experience or coming from the education field is an added advantage
  • Have customer service and sales experience
  • Willing to work on Saturdays and weekends
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude when managing young students

Job title: Senior Academic Executive

Job Requirements:-

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education, TESL, English, Linguistics or related; teaching certification preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching English
  • Sound knowledge of the Malaysian Education System;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers;
  • Must be willing to work overtime hours and weekends as needed

  • Assisting in marketing and promotion of CEFL programmes and examinations as appropriate
