Overview

This advanced senior technical position will possess a strong understanding of large scale global enterprise computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have current/past experience working as an advanced enterprise level network administrator/engineer - leading design, development, and implementation of secured solutions from business requirements that satisfy a highly available global network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Quickly learn company business process and IT infrastructure, and identify any potential network weaknesses and vulnerabilities
• Design, re/architect, and implement a secure global network infrastructure across multiple domains, platforms and multi-tiered architectures, enabling automation and/or machine-based resolution, with optimized alerting through technical analysis
• Advanced knowledge of Firewalls, VPN, and Network Virtualization – with strong abilities to architect solutions that enhances/maintains the reliability and stability of the network, and strengthens the traffic flow of data throughout global network
• Advanced/expert level infrastructure systems administration and engineering, with a strong emphasis on solution integration and systems implementation
• Well versed in network security, security policies, cryptography, authentication, and secure communication protocols
• Lead projects containing cross-functional IT members to ensure timely delivery of business objectives, communicating status and initiatives to management
• Strong working knowledge of application and server virtualization, networking and storage, enterprise-level infrastructure high availability/disaster recovery, and client-side web technologies such as ecommerce and/or mobile apps
• Identify, solve problems and/or track issues encountered during projects
• Assist with Disaster Recovery planning and testing
• Ability to influence high performance of cross-functional teams, as well as cross-train team members (including offshore resources) on best solution practices, leading to standard operating procedures
• Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-motivated and can work independently
• Confident presenter who can prepare and present technical material to both business and technical audiences

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• 10+ years of work experience in IT Network systems solutioning, administration and/or engineering
• 10+ years of work experience with LAN/WAN (Cisco preferred) Firewall, Switches, Routers, and other networking and security appliances
• 10+ years of work experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• 10+ years of work experience with either Dell, Client, or IBM hardware
• 5+ years of experience supporting network infrastructure under Microsoft Active Directory environment
• 5+ years strong background in designing, implementing, and managing virtualization architecture solutions (on premise and/or cloud)
• 5+ years strong knowledge of SAN storage systems and operations
• Information/network/security experience in a software development environment
• Infosec experience across multiple monitoring utilities including Antivirus, IDS/IPS, Firewall, SIEM, FIM, and Databases technologies
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry that collects personally identifiable information (PII)
• Experience developing security policies for cloud-based infrastructure (ie Azure, AWS, etc)
• SOX compliance experience preferred
• Advanced Office 365 knowledge
• Preferable knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, as well as hyperconverged technologies such as Nutanix, and virtualized environments such as VMware
• Ability to produce professional documentation for standards, policies, and procedures
• Ability to participate and lead in change management process and operations
• Must demonstrate strong professional customer service and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, required.
• Minimum 10 to 13 years work experience, in a corporate environment of 200 or more users.
• CCNA/CCNP Preferred
