A leading food industry company is seeking a National Sales Senior Manager to drive sales growth and manage a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG sector. This role involves defining sales strategies, building client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential. A degree related to the food industry is required, as well as proficiency in English and Bahasa Malay.
To facilitate growth and meet sales objectives, the sales director organizes, implements, and manages the organization's sales strategy. A track record of consistently establishing and building sales teams, creating effective sales strategies, and fostering sustainable client relationships is crucial for this leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the latest market developments, have a breadth and depth of sales management expertise, and be able to lead across a variety of channels.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership role:
Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team to achieve growth objectives.
Define and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
Set and manage sales targets, forecasting, and performance metrics.
Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
Optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and maximize performance.
Analyze sales data to forecast revenue, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Develop strategic partnerships with major accounts and negotiate high‑value contracts.
Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and finance teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business goals.
Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to help guide product development.
Reporting & Analytics:
Regularly report on sales performance, including sales metrics, revenue growth, and sales forecasts.
Use data and analytics to track the effectiveness of sales strategies and provide actionable insights.
Organise weekly / monthly sales meetings with the sales team and update sales progress.
Conduct periodic sales update presentations to top management and update progress of sales versus annual plans.
Qualification in Education and Language proficiency
Degree, knowledge and experience in the food industry or related.
Written: English and Bahasa Malay.
Experience Requirements:
Experience: In sales and preferably in the food and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
Minimum years of experience: 10+ years in related sales and leading a team.
