JOB OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of the Mobile Application Engineer is to develop, deploy, and maintain high‑quality mobile applications, for both iOS and Android platforms, that meet the business needs of the organization. The role involves ensuring optimal performance and user experience while collaborating closely with team members, end‑users, and other stakeholders. This position is critical in driving the technical direction of mobile projects and providing leadership in the application engineering domain.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall ownership of underlying solutions developed and deployed for business users.
• Develop and deliver iOS and/or Android applications. Ensuring the best performance and user experience of the applications.
• Cooperating with back‑end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well‑architected and high‑quality solutions.
• Provide thought leadership, technical guidance to development team members.
• Provide feedback regarding application engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices.
• Produce high‑quality application engineering deliverables.
• Educate staff members through training and individual support.
• Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
• Ensure all IT policies, data policies and procedures are adhered to accordingly at all times.
• Ensure all documentation release is accurate and complete, and in accordance with the department policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
• A strong passion for coding, with the ability to profile and debug mobile applications effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills to tackle complex problems, with a collaborative mindset to work through ambiguity.
• Experience in architecting scalable, high‑performing technology solutions, with knowledge of server‑side technology.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure infrastructure, and an awareness of cloud security best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of mobile application development, from initial coding to publishing on app stores.
• Proficient in mobile development languages, tools, and frameworks, including Android Studio, PHP, Swift, Java, Kotlin, React Native, and Flutter.
• Familiarity with APIs to connect mobile applications to back‑end services.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and understanding CI/CD.
