The Relationship Manager at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored banking solutions to deepen customer relationships and achieve business targets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with a portfolio of existing and prospective high-net-worth individuals or corporate clients.
  • Proactively identify client needs and offer appropriate UOB banking products and services, including but not limited to deposits, loans, investments, wealth management, and trade finance solutions.
  • Conduct thorough financial needs analysis and risk assessments for clients, ensuring proposed solutions align with their financial goals and risk appetite.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue generation, client acquisition, and product penetration.
  • Prepare and present compelling financial proposals and solutions to clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of UOB\'s product offerings and the competitive landscape.
  • Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to proactively advise clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments, such as Product Development, Credit, Legal, and Operations, to ensure seamless client service and solution delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM guidelines, AML/CFT).
  • Handle client inquiries, complaints, and service requests efficiently and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and pipeline information within the bank\'s CRM system.
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with a focus on retail, commercial, or corporate banking.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent understanding of banking products and services, including lending, deposits, investments, and wealth management.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills to assess client needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE, TBE) are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local market conditions and regulatory frameworks in Malaysia.
