About the Role
As a Merchandising Executive at Aonic, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive sales and enhance customer experience across both retail and e-commerce channels

This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including supply chain and commercial. Key responsibilities include managing product assortment and inventory levels, coordinating with vendors, analyzing competitive activities, and optimizing store layouts to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Merchandising Strategy: Propose and execute tactical merchandising plans by combining data-driven insights, product management expertise that align with company strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Customer Experience: Provide a pleasant shopping environment and experience by ensuring seamless flow and layout for our in-store customers as well as e-commerce channels.
  • Product roadmap: Develop merchandising strategy according to product roadmap and overall company strategy based on the latest market trends
  • Relationship Management: Put customers at the heart of all initiatives, build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving promptly to foster loyalty in every interaction.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the supply chain team to manage inventory levels and ensure that products are in stock and available for purchase.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, stay up to date with industry trends and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
  • People & Processes: Work actively with key stakeholders such as retail branches personnel, salesperson and product teams to understand possible gaps in their daily tasks relating to merchandising, and develop processes to boost overall efficiency and productivity
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor sales metrics and conduct customer feedback to ensure relevance of Aonic’s service and product offerings to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics Management/ Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must-Have Skills/Industries: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Optional Skills/Industries: Experience with supply chain software, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.
