Job description

MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST / MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST

Ensuring that daily maintenance of equipment’s is performed by the individual bench and preventive maintenance done as scheduled working together with Biomedical Service.

Ensuring that all daily laboratory results are validated in the Laboratory Information System.

Troubleshooting when the quality control, internal and external, are out of range.

Performing quality control analysis and preparing quarterly reports for presentation at the Medical Laboratory Committee’s quarterly meeting.

Knowledge of normal and abnormal values.

Monitoring of daily QC and proficiency test results.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Diploma or Degree in Medical Lab Science/Technology, Biomedical Science or its equivalent.

Good understanding of the appropriate laboratory section and general medical technology.

Working experience in a hospital in different disciplines is an added advantage.
