A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a skilled professional to develop and manage client relationships. You will promote and sell spare parts and services while providing technical support. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with strong analytical and communication skills. The role requires proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay, and willingness to travel locally and overseas as needed.
Develop and manage relationships with clients in all sectors that company is involving in.
Promote and sell spare parts and services that company is involving in.
Conduct site visits to understand customers’ equipment application and looking for opportunities to do business with the customers.
Provide technical supports and recommend suitable parts based on customers’ equipment specifications and process requirements.
To explore more suppliers who can provide their parts and services to enlarge our business opportunities.
To identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
To prepare enquiries and tender documents for suppliers to participate for the enquiries receive from our customers.
To evaluate the proposals and quotations received from suppliers inline with the requirements of our customers.
Prepare quotations and technical proposals to our customers.
Continue Liaising with suppliers to monitor the progress of the parts fabrication and services awarded to them.
Monitor market and industry trends and competitors’ activity and new technologies to identify new sales opportunities.
Follow up on after-sales supports and ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and customer referrals.
Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to close sales effectively.
Other scope of duties and responsibilities which will be assigned from time to time by management.
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree inMechanicalEngineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of working experience inM&Eengineering and quality assurance/quality control, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge ofmechanicalsystems, materials, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, industry standards, and regulations such as ASME, API, ISO 9001, and AWS.
Experience in conducting inspections, testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Proficiency in reading and interpretingmechanicaldrawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Ability to prepare and review QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Material Approval Submissions.
Familiar with bulk material handling systems is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin, English and Malay. Must have relevant experience and able in dealing with China suppliers.
Excellent communication and reporting skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment.
Willing to travel locally and oversea based on project basis.
