Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a mechanic/welder to install and test mechanical systems for trains. Responsibilities include installing parts, conducting system tests, troubleshooting breakdowns, and welding. Candidates should be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, have at least one year of experience, a valid driving license, and preferably welding certification. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• At least 1 year of experience in mechanic or welding.
• Valid driving license class D.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical parts like train flooring and piping systems.
• Conduct testing of mechanical systems guided by engineers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns in train systems.
• Weld metal parts and structures as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities

Installation of mechanic parts or system such as train flooring, wall, air piping system, water piping system etc. as per given guide

To conduct testing and commissioning of train mechanical system such as train brake system and make record for all testing done, guided by engineer

To trouble‑shoot, identify and solve mechanical system breakdown of train system with engineer

Welding of metal parts and structure

Requirements

Able to speak and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English

At least 1 year working experience in mechanic/welding field

Must have valid driving license class D

Able to travel out‑station for site job as and when required

Having welding certificate/knowledge has an advantage

Strong work ethic, independently and with team member
