Job Summary

UCSI Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics / Additional Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction that supports students’ mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking. The successful candidate will foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages academic excellence and confidence in mathematics within an internationally-minded school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics and/or Additional Mathematics lessons for Lower and/or Upper Secondary students, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework (e.g., National Curriculum, Cambridge, or equivalent).
  • Teach mathematical concepts, skills, and applications, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support student understanding and academic progression.
  • Foster a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and active participation.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning abilities, learning styles, and academic needs.
  • Promote logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessment results, and attendance.
  • Prepare student progress reports and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic progress.
  • Maintain positive classroom management, fostering respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
  • Integrate technology and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, educational software) to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and support interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Uphold the school’s mission, values, and commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
