Job summary

A construction firm in Johor is seeking a Material Supervisor to manage rebar cutting and bending operations. Responsibilities include overseeing daily production, ensuring quality specifications, and managing materials efficiently. Candidates should possess at least a diploma in Engineering or Quantity Surveying; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations at rebar cutting and bending stations.

• Prepare reports for Head of Department (HOD).

Material Supervisor (Civil Engineering) - FRESH GRADUATES WELCOME TO APPLY

1. Supervise & oversee daily operations at the rebar cutting, bending, and mesh bending stations.

2. Ensure production output meets daily and weekly targets.

3. Ensure all products meet dimensional and structural specifications.

4. Plan and execute rebar cutting and bending activities efficiently to minimize material wastage

through accurate measurements and optimal utilization of offcuts.

5. Implement corrective actions for product non-conformities and manage leftover rebar from cancelled

orders to ensure proper reuse or disposal planning.

6. Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with the QS/Purchaser for replenishment.

7. Ensure proper storage and handling of rebar and mesh materials.

8. Lead and manage a team of operators and general workers.

9. Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance

10. Conduct proper stock count during month-end closing and inspect the production floor to identify any

rebar that has been stored but not utilized, ensuring accurate inventory records and material accountability.

11. Prepare necessary reports for HOD

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum diploma and above with Engineering/QS background is an advantage.

2. Knowledge of rebar cutting, bending, and mesh fabrication processes, and able to read bar bending schedule is an advantage

3. Fresh graduate is welcome, training will be provided
