Job summary

A prominent real estate firm in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Leasing Executive to manage leasing activities for a shopping mall. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing lease renewals, coordinating with tenants, and preparing necessary documentation. A minimum of 3 years in shopping mall operations is required, along with proficiency in leasing account management. Applicants should be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and possess strong organizational skills.

Job description

To plan and execute leasing activities according to agreed budgets, the tenant mix of the shopping mall.

To prepare the leasing/marketing information and materials.

To do marketing of the vacant lots and to find prospects accordingly.

To negotiate with prospective tenants on leasing matters and follow through with all necessary documentation to conclude deals.

To prepare Letters of Offer and Tenancy Agreements, collect deposits, follow up on signing agreements, handing over premises.

To prepare for stamping the valid Tenancy Agreement either online or at the LHDN center.

To prepare an internal memo to other departments.

To liaise with the legal department to ensure documentation for securing sales and leases.

To track lease renewals and engage relevant parties in the lease renewal process.

To coordinate with tenants on rental payments and refund of deposits upon lease expiry.

To assist in managing matters arising from the fitting out phase where applicable and to assist in vacant possession in exercise.

To prepare, update, and maintain all leasing databases/reports.

Requirements

Possess SPM/STPM /Technical Certificate with at least 3 years of working experience.

Prior experience in shopping mall operations and familiarity with leasing and tenancy management is highly preferred.

Proficiency in leasing account management and credit control procedures.

Skilled in Microsoft Office and IFCA (industry-standard software).

Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with a focus on managing subordinates and fostering inter-departmental cooperation.

Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English; able to communicate effectively across all levels of the company.

High standards of integrity, ethics, and maturity in the workplace.
