Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking a Product Assistant to support product sourcing and management. The candidate will assist in supplier negotiations, market studies, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Applicants should have a Marketing or Business degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills in both English and the local language are essential, along with a willingness to work in Johor, Malaysia.

Job description
  • Assist Product Manager to carry out supplier and product sourcing, ensure quality sourcing is carried out and is following group guideline
  • Well manage product section under your care by doing quality supplier & product sourcingto support long-term market growth . This includes carry out good price negotiations, and ability to to engage quality supplier and product
  • Produce quality market study and market analysis for the management team
  • Provide accurate product information in timely manner to cross department stakeholders
  • Carry out quality product listing validation in meeting company expectation and standard
  • Handle end-to-end product sourcing required arrangement (i.e. government tax, custom duty, delivery timeleap etc) within Malaysia, Singapore or International and according to group guideline
  • Ensure quality supplier and product sourcing is meeting company ISO standard and group guideline
  • Work closely with cross department stakeholders in managing product & supplier related issue effectively in driving operation excellent
  • Carryout supplier and product review yearly with the management team to ensure performance of the product and suppliers are meeting customers' expectation.
  • All other adhoc reasonable assignment assigned to you from time to time
Qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing or Business or a combination of education and experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), supplier sourcing and purchasing negotiation skills,good data analysis skills, SAP user
  • Effective communicator and negotiator; well verse in verbal and written communication in English and native language
  • 3 years working experience in marketing related role with minimum 1year in within marketing Sales/Product management experience in Office Supplies/FMCG/Consumer Products markets
  • Those who has fully vaccinated and able to work in Johor Malaysia will be considered.
