A retail boutique in Penang is looking for a marketing professional to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for events. The role involves conducting market research, managing media campaigns, and overseeing promotional activities. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, strong social media skills, and proficiency in English. The position offers benefits like shared commissions and insurance coverage.
Work with Director and marketing/sales team to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for a 12-month period including events for the Penang/Kuala Lumpur locations.
Ability to conduct market research and intelligence to identify and define target markets or segments.
Execute the approved marketing plans and collaboration with other corporate companies event.
Coordinating and overseeing media, graphics, advertising & communication campaigns, promotional activities, events, and media interviews.
Communicate regularly with the sales team to best understand what promotional activities have generated sales or increase in the store traffic.
Maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
Preparing budgets and monitoring of expenses incurred against outcome of the plans.
Work in conjunction with the graphic designer and social media team members both in Kuala Lumpur and/or Penang on the development of marketing collateral that are aligned with the brand strategy.
To develop and execute effective and high quality events that will help to maintain the organisation’s overall brand, and name, with its’ targeted client base as well as existing client base.
Look for new events and opportunities and make recommendations to the management.
Lead event production and logistics including: communications, catering, A/V production, stage design, décor, signage plans, creating event briefs, etc. together with the sales and support team.
Create and maintain an event tracking system to include contact and cost information including conduct post-event wrap up reporting.
Communicate before, during and post event with pertinent internal staff and external vendors and contractors to ensure a high level of service.
Manage all event budgets ensuring for no cost over-runs.
