Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Miri is looking for a qualified individual with a diploma and at least 2 years of experience in marine operations within the Oil and Gas sector. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and knowledge in logistics and marine HSSE procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP is essential. The position is office-based with potential offshore deployment. Trustworthiness in handling confidential information is a must.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas Industry and marine logistic operations.
• Able to communicate effectively in English with diverse individuals.
• Knowledge in personnel and material movement including vessel voyage management.
• Preferably, at least 2 years in marine operations, HSSE, and administrative services.

Job description

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Oil and Gas Industry and exposure in marine logistic operations including HSSE scope.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office is essential and SAP is advantageous.
• Able to write and speak English as need to communicate with a wide range of people from all levels.
• Knowledge in personnel and material movement including vessel voyage management.
• Ability to think logically and critically and solve problems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, leadership and the ability to influence others.
• Be able to work under considerable pressure dictated by deadline and independently with minimum supervision, be confident, able to communicate effectively and able to make minor decision within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
• Above all, be trustworthy to safeguard all confidential information.
• Preferably, at least 2 years in marine operations, HSSE and administrative services involving regular contact with people internal and external to the company.
• Relevant experience in Oil and Gas Industry as marine HSSE supervisory involving personnel and material movement in Logistics / Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
