A leading solar energy company in Kedah is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Engineer to manage process improvements in solar module manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Key responsibilities include developing robust manufacturing processes, implementing performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The role may require domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills.

  • Plan and manage process in functional area equipment replication globally.
  • Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
  • Responsible to develop, continually improve, and document robust solar module manufacturing processes.
  • Develops, documents, and enforces standard operating procedures.

Manufacturing Engineering Engineers (HSRT)

Conceives, develops, and evaluates plans and criteria for the completion of process improvement projects and programs in a cost-efficient manner.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or Physical Science Field or the equivalent. Preferably: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3-5 years Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Behavioral
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent data analysis and collection skills.
Technical
  • Proven quality skills.
  • Glass, Lamination, Photovoltaic and / or Automation experience preferred.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards, statistical methods and SPC tools.
  • Robust Engineering/Design of Experiments, Six Sigma, and FMEA.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Techniques and Practices.
  • Ability to read Mechanical and Electrical engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage process in functional area equipment replication globally.
  • Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
  • Setup and maintenance of gauges.
  • Responsible to develop, continually improve, and document robust solar module manufacturing processes to achieve the highest product performance in a cost efficient manner.
  • Develops, documents, and enforces standard operating procedures and process description.
  • Responsible to interface with other company, customer and supplier representatives.
  • Plan process experiments, collects and analyzes data and reports experiment results.
  • Maintain effective communication levels and fosters Team Building.
  • Exhibits a self-directed, proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Domestic and International travel as required.
  • Evaluate new proposed equipment according to process standards.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and Responsible Business Alliance policies and procedures that is enforced within the organization.
