Chemin has partnered with a leading company specializing in AI-driven language solutions, using advanced models to enable human-like conversations and transform enterprise communication. For this exciting 2-month project, we are seeking motivated individuals fluent in Mandarin to join our team as remote audio transcribers!

Joining forces with a talented team of Mandarin speaking experts, you will optimize AI training data by segmenting and transcribing raw audio clips. The key to your success is to ensure a high standard of excellence in performing tasks, as quality is critical to enhancing AI models.

Ultimately, alongside the Delivery Team at Chemin, you will help to represent local speech and audio in the next generation of AI-powered language tools.

• Deliver high-quality transcriptions of audio clips with minimal to no revisions.
• Precisely segment the spoken content in the audio clips into distinct components.
• Identify and label speakers to the different voices appropriately within the audio clips.
• Transcribe all audio content within each segment in their respective language(s).
• Proactively communicate challenges, queries, or concerns with Project Managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Meet key deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency in work output.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen fluent in English and Mandarin (particularly written language).
• Strong listening & comprehension skills, including accents, dialects, and background noise.
• Professional attitude: responsive and inquisitive to ask clarifying questions.
• Possess a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and reliability in spelling, labeling relevant tags (gender, age, emotion), and segmenting audio.
• Efficient time management skills to meet and exceed deliverables.
• A high level of focus and patience is required to complete tasks thoroughly.
• Bonus: prior experience with transcription tools or data annotation projects, especially in linguistics.

Work Arrangements

• Available for at least 4 hours per day, including on weekends when necessary. Flexible core work hours from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm to complete a minimum of 3 tasks per day.
• Able to commit to the project for the proposed timeframe of a minimum of 2 months from January to February.
