Manager/ Senior Manager – Education Strategy and Operations (30054)

Manager/ Senior Manager (Education Operations & Strategy) will support the coordination, operational oversight, and effective implementation of university-wide education operations and strategic initiatives, with a primary focus on ensuring the smooth, consistent, and high-quality teaching and learning processes and student experience across the University. Acting as a key interface between academic Faculties/Schools, Centres, administrative units, and support services, the role ensures institutional alignment, operational continuity, and effective follow-through on all education-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Education Operations & Teaching-Learning Coordination: Provide support in overseeing day-to-day education-related operations, ensuring effective delivery of teaching and learning across all modalities (on-campus, online and blended). Coordinate and monitor operational matters related to teaching delivery and learning continuity, academic calendars and scheduling, and other cross-unit operational issues impacting teaching and learning. Help coordinate and ensure timely resolution and follow-up on matters related to education/ teaching and learning.

Strategy Execution and Implementation: Support the operationalisation of the University’s education strategies, frameworks, and policies, and translate these into clear implementation plans and action plans across the institution. Track progress, risks, dependencies and outcomes of education initiatives and provide updates, insights, and recommendations to the Senior Management.

Governance, Committee and Secretariat Support: Serves as the secretariat and operational coordinator for university-level committees and work groups, including preparation of committee agenda, papers, briefing notes, minutes and action trackers. Ensure timely follow and effective implementation of committee decisions in collaboration with academic units and professional/support services departments. Accurate documentation, coordination and institutional record‑keeping.

Stakeholder Coordination & Issue Resolution: Collaborate with Faculties/Schools and professional/support services departments, and ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of policies, decisions and operational requirements. Facilitate alignment across units/departments, resolve operational bottlenecks and issues proactively. Support the monitoring of key operational indicators, feedback trends and performance data, and prepare related reports, dashboards and presentations. Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency and effectiveness.

Special Projects & Institutional Initiatives: Support and coordinate special projects/ taskforce/ pilots under the Office of Education, Employability and Alumni Strategy. Work closely with other units, i.e. employability, alumni, digital learning, quality assurance to ensure alignment and effective execution of cross‑unit initiatives.

Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Education, Higher Education Management, Educational Leadership and Management, or any related field is required. A Doctoral degree (PhD or Doctor of Education) is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of university teaching and learning operations.
  • Excellent coordination and organisation skills, with the ability to manage complexity, competing priorities and stakeholders of all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented and high level of adaptability and institutional awareness.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and service orientation.
