A leading consumer financing provider is seeking a Manager for the Repossession & Operation team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves leading repossession efforts and operational improvements, managing team performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in credit operations or NPL recovery. The Manager is responsible for leading repossession and operational improvement initiatives to achieve departmental targets, enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and support strategic planning and project implementation within the NPL & Recovery Department.
To ensure staffs are adhere with company’s internal policies and guidelines as well as BNM and any regulatory requirements.
To manage unit /section repossession, and operation improvement staff in term of operational daily activities, performance and administration and daily and monthly reporting of performance / productivity to Head of Department or Senior Management.
To achieve unit / section repossession and operation improvement target set by Management - daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly / yearly and delivery good Collection result.
To ensure units overall contribution towards Non Performing Loan collection result to ensure minimization of impairment loss provision as provided in the company’s monthly, quarterly and yearly loss provision budget.
To assess staff collection knowledge and recommend for staff skill development program.
To relief other Section Head on operation support related matter to ensure operation running smoothly if require.
To increase customer service standard and ensure the resolution of customer complaint within stipulated timeline
To undertake any Management new direction and involve in project or any task list assigned by Management
To perform any ad-hoc task list / matters assign by Management.
Job Requirement:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or any related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in collections, credit operations, or non-performing loan (NPL) recovery, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
Strong knowledge of collections processes, repossession procedures, and NPL management
Proven track record in managing teams and achieving operational and collection performance targets.
Familiarity with Malaysian legal frameworks, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines, and financial institution operations related to credit and recovery.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive operational improvements.
Change management experience with a proactive and result-oriented approach to problem solving.
