Job summary

A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager-Projects to assist in project planning and execution. The role involves managing construction projects, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring quality control. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering or related fields, with 5-6 years of experience in development projects. Familiarity with local building regulations is essential. Job description
Manager-Projects (Based at Kuala Lumpur)

To assist General Manager on project planning & execution.

Preparation of feasibility studies, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and monitoring site progress.

Manage and coordinate project development to ensure smooth implementation i.e., within the specific time frame, budget, and desired quality.

Coordinate, monitor and manage project work from planning, design, tender and implementation until handover.

Monitor and track construction programmes and cost sheets.

Monitor and lead the projects team.

Deal with government and local authorities on building and land matters & to follow up all approval status with liaison officer.

Conduct audits and spot-checks (pre-delivery inspection) on all projects matters.

Check and verify technical drawings, value engineering, and alternative proposals including coordination drawings with respective consultants.

Control and coordinate consultants and contractors/sub-contractors.

Conduct pre-qualification and quarterly assessment of consultants and contractors/sub-contractors.

Evaluate and keep proper records on tender documents and review updates on the standard terms and conditions of tender contracts.

Prepare regular management and projects reports.

Contribute ideas towards marketing strategies and business development.

Track approval process to achieve Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) and anticipate possible delays through troubleshooting.

Any other duties as and when assigned by the Company.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Architecture/ Building Construction / Project Management or its equivalent.

Professional Engineer (PE) qualification from Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) would be an added advantage.

Minimum 5-6 years of hands‑on experience in developing and managing development and construction projects.

Familiar with Conquas and/or Qlassic assessment certification and the methodology.

Well versed with Malaysian and local building laws, regulations, and bylaws, as well as authority approval and submission processes.

Experience and familiar with the latest construction methods, materials, and procedures of high‑end residential and commercial development.

Willing to work at Kuala Lumpur.
