Job summary

A leading production firm located in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Production to oversee the operations of various production plants. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards and efficient cost management. Responsibilities include coordinating production meetings, maintaining communication with various departments, and implementing operational improvements. Ideal candidates possess a degree in Engineering and have 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in refinery operations and maintenance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in refinery operations, maintenance, refining, and boiler operations (6 to 10 years).
• Ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organization.
• Intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Job Description

1. eprib1. To ensure smooth, optimum operation for all the production plants including maintenance and Engineering Section and Warehouse.
2. To ensure cost effective operation for all plants and the monthly costs should be maintained within the budget.
3. To ensure all processing plants are maintaining at all time and complied to the requirement standard.
4. To implement and exercise safety measures, good house keeping and manufacturing practice for all plants.
5. To ensure that all pressure vessel and boilers are strictly in compliance with the JKKP statutory requirement.
6. To ensure all SSOP in the ISO 9001:2000, HACCP, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 are fully & strictly followed and no non conformities arise during any third party audits.
7. To hold weekly production meeting to coordinate and follow up on the production plans and ensure on time in full delivery for both packed & bulk products.
8. To hold regular discussions with shipping department to synchronizes shipping schedule & the production plan.
9. To have good & regular communication with the bulk & specialty fats sales team to ensure customer requirements are met in terms of quality, on time in full delivery and cost.
10. To ensure all processing plants & buildings are always kept clean & tidy at all times.
11. To ensure all statutory requirements of JKKP are fully complied.
12. To constantly find ways to improve the efficiency of steam generation and reduce heating cost for all the processing plants.
13. To take firm disciplinary action against subordinates when procedures & systems established are not followed or complied.
14. To coordinate with external parties ie suppliers, toll packers, customers to ensure KEO gets the best business deals.
15. To carry out any other tasks that will be assigned by the superior from time to time

Job Requirements

• Candidate must posses Degree in Engineering
• Experience in Refinery Operational in 6 to 10 years and plant maintenance, refining, fractionation, texturization and boiler operations
• Strong communication skills, with ability to engage effectively across different level of organization
• Preferably at least an intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Proven problem-solving and decision making capabilies to address challenges efficiently and proactively.
