Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Regional Procurement Manager with a strong background in vendor management and procurement operations for indirect materials, services, and logistics within the Asia region. The selected individual will play a key role in supporting regional operations and expansion, ensuring that all procurement activities are handled efficiently and in line with project timelines, compliance requirements, and budget constraints.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for procuring indirect commodities such as: facility services, logistics, IT equipment, office supplies, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items, and professional services in the required quantity and proper quality.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions in compliance with Vertiv policies and procedures.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and support continuous cost reduction efforts.
- Monitor market trends and identify alternative suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs – VOS Programs.
- Manage intercompany sourcing activities and ensure alignment with global procurement strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Engineering) to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate supplier master data and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Develop and monitor KPIs aligned with business objectives; additional activities may be assigned based on evolving business needs.
- Foster effective communication with suppliers, internal customers, and Vertiv management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Local language proficiency + fluent English (speaking / reading / writing).
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect procurement within manufacturing, service, or engineering environments, preferably in international companies.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract management.
- Solid understanding of costing principles and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of international standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with global supply base and regional sourcing practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Proactive, results-driven, and high-energy work style.
Travel Requirement
Up to 10%
