Lead and cultivate partnerships with Global travel management companies (TMCs) & Global Marine Travel Companies for Malaysia Airlines, ensuring these collaborations align with the airline's commercial strategy and contribute to revenue growth. Collaborate with regional and local stations to identify, develop, and maintain these partnerships. Additionally, manage and optimize the cost of sales for the assigned portfolio.

Key Accountability

Travel Management Companies (TMC) and Marine Portfolio

  • Lead and manage the global TMC and Marine business portfolio
  • Deliver revenue targets for global TMCs and Marine portfolios; while maximizing the commercial potential of new and existing product developments.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Global sales team and HQ departments to enable swift and effective decision-making for TMC and Marine initiatives.
  • Support the design and implementation of strategies, structures, standards, and tools that drive sustainable growth in the global TMC and Marine business; and contribute significantly to overall revenue.
  • Balance long-term TMC and Marine account objectives with short-term initiatives by collaborating on revenue-driving opportunities that address business gaps and align with commercial goals.
  • Partner with the corporate sales team to enhance overall corporate performance through strong TMC and Marine collaboration.
  • Lead the definition, planning, and execution of revenue budgets for global TMCs and Marine at both the network and station levels, in close coordination with stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor existing global corporate agreements in partnership with account managers via TMC channels.
  • Monitor and analyse Marine industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure Malaysia Airlines remains competitive.
  • Initiate and execute marketing activities through TMCs that deliver measurable ROI and strengthen Malaysia Airlines’ brand presence throughout the year.
  • Oversee end-to-end TMC and Marine portfolio responsibilities, including preparation and distribution of monthly performance reports, management of weekly and monthly market share reports with measurable outcomes, administration of payment processes on a quarterly, half-yearly, or annual basis, and effective contract management.
  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with global TMC supplier heads, and Marine travel intermediaries and corporates; to ensure alignment, trust, and long-term partnership success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor products, fares, and services to meet TMC and Marine industry requirements.
  • Perform additional department‑related tasks as directed by the head of the department.
Qualification & Working Experience
  • Relevant college or university qualification to minimum bachelor level with the following experiences:
    • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the travel industry.
    • Experience in selling airline products with a focus on corporate sales.
