Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead independent post-approval credit reviews and analyses as the Second Line of Defence, to ensure that credits are properly underwritten, rated and classified appropriately according to the Bank's credit policies and guidelines, credit risk strategy, as well as applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct core activities comprise of Desktop Reviews and identified Sector Reviews.
  • Validate findings, highlight areas of weaknesses or deficiencies, as well as provide recommendations on best practices, to facilitate improvements in the Bank’s management of credit risk.
  • Promote and inculcate sound credit awareness through sharing sessions or dialogues within Group Risk, as well as with Countries and Businesses.
  • Perform Post-Mortem Reviews and identify key lessons learnt from non-performing impaired loans.
  • Conduct training and sharing sessions on Post-Mortem Reviews on key learning points for relevant stakeholders, to ensure awareness so as to avoid further lapses.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other related or suitable disciplines from recognized universities.
  • Possess strong credit knowledge in credit structures and sector outlook; and keeps abreast of credit-related regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and guidelines.
  • Possess a good command of English, proficient in both written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and report-writing abilities to prepare reports, and good presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities to formulate and innovate strategies and solutions, and deliver high performance results to meet mission-critical goals.
  • Possess strong inter-personnel skills and high Emotional Quotient, with excellent negotiation, communication, persuasion and collaborative skills, in order to optimize relationships across the Bank.
