Overview
Objective: To assist and support Cost Management General Manager in monitoring, controlling and optimizing costs across a company or project.
Responsibilities
- Product feasibility study, localization and cost estimation.
- Assist in developing cost models and scenario analysis.
- Track actual cost against quoted price and investigate variances.
- Provide training or guidance to junior staff on cost processes.
- Standardize cost control procedures across departments or projects.
- Technical liaison with external providers and customers.
- Involve and support in cost-saving activities.
- Promote and enforce safety and health regulations in working environment.
- Coordinate the activities of internal audit.
- Ensure ISO 9001 quality system is implemented and maintained in the Department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Industrial
- Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management or pricing analysis for a managerial role.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (e.g., vlookup, sumproduct) is advantageous.
- Capabilities: Strong analytical and numerical skills; attention to detail and good organizational skills.
