Job summary

A property development company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to manage the full set of accounts, overseeing payroll and tax compliance. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of related experience, strong knowledge of bookkeeping, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Responsibilities include preparing forecasts, executing treasury operations, and enhancing financial processes. This role demands expertise in financial reporting and the management of intercompany accounts, ensuring accuracy and discipline in financial operations.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in full set accounts, particularly in Property Development.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and payroll.

Job description

Manage full set of accounts for the Group, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end closing.

Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Project, Admin) to ensure financial alignment and discipline.

Manage corporate tax, SST, RPGT (where applicable), and statutory filings.

Support management on tax planning and compliance readiness.

Prepare and manage detailed cash flow forecasts for development projects and group operations.

Execute treasury operations including payments, bank reconciliations, loan servicing, and facility monitoring.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.

Strengthen SOPs for finance and accounts processes.

Improve timelines, accuracy, and clarity of reporting.

To perform treasury duties which include cash management, financial risk management, banking relations, capital structure management, loan application etc.

To manage intercompany accounts within Alpha Galaxy Group of Companies.

Job Requirements

At least 10 Year(s) of working experience in performing full sets account with tax experience in related field especially from Property Development background is required for this position (preferably with experienced working for the Big Four Audit firms).

Good command of written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English, preferably able to converse in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
