Job summary

A high-tech manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Management Trainee (Production / QA). This role includes managing front-line workers, supporting production teams, and ensuring product quality. Candidates must have a diploma or degree, and supervisory experience is a plus. Our client in Penang is a high‑tech enterprise under the Taiwanese stock exchange, incorporated in April 2023 with the Company Commission of Malaysia. The company covers an area of about 13.62 acres, with a full set of international advanced automated manufacturing equipment and automatic warehousing. The main products are Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) and Prepreg (PP) for circuits, exported to Europe, America, Japan and South Korea. Our client’s sale volume of halogen‑free environmentally friendly materials has ranked first in the world for several consecutive years. The factory is partly dust‑free and the operation is fully automated.

Production
  • Daily management of front‑line workers in the production department in accordance with the requirements of the production control.
  • Provide support to the production team in their daily activities, including troubleshooting production issues, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Supervise and provide product guidance to production staff, including training, performance evaluation and coaching to maximize productivity and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production output, downtime and other relevant data, and prepare reports for management review.
QA
  • Ensure all products are maintained in its quality, packed in the right packaging and produced in a timely manner according to the daily and weekly production plan.
  • Achieve QC or QA operational objectives by monitoring and assigning day-to-day activities and identifying the gaps and problems.
  • Assist for returned samples inspection, conduct root cause and failure analysis investigation on all returns and take corrective action.
  • Responsible for maintaining inspection records, quality‑related documents, codes, standards and specifications.
Job Requirements
  • SPM holder, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the manufacturing environment and with minimum 3 years of working experience is a plus.
  • Fresh graduates and entry‑level are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Solid organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends or evenings as required.
  • Able to travel to China for 3‑6 months of training.
  • Able to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
