Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a candidate responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of plant facilities and machinery. The role includes conducting on-site repairs, assisting in installations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates should hold a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and have 2-5 years of related experience, with skills in machine maintenance and electrical wiring. This position requires proactive problem-solving and adherence to safety protocols.

Job description

To carry out preventive maintenance works for plant & building facilities, utility and machinery equipment to ensure in good condition.

To carry out on-site repair of plant facilities & machinery including wiring troubleshoot, plumbing, piping, and welding work.

To carry out structure fabrication & in-house modification work during plant start up, machine and facility installation, & production phase.

To carry out or assist in plant start up technical work, machine & facility installation and commissioning including wiring, piping & plumbing installation work.

Responsible and attend any facility & equipment breakdown, resolve the issue soonest possible and report to superior.

To be fully proactive & aware of occupational health and safety standards at workplace, ensure full compliance and also safeguarding oneself, colleagues, and the Company from any detrimental incidents.

To attend to any equipment breakdown as soon as possible during operation run.

Attend trainings / courses provided by management for to enhance knowledge in related field.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Required Skill and Qualifications :

• Candidate must possess at least minimum SPM/Diploma/Certificate in Electrical,Engineering / Mechanical or equivalent with 2-5 years’ experience in related field.
• Possess technical knowledge of manufacturing machine maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge on building facility & machine electrical wiring. Etc. compressor, induction motor & pump, AC, lighting & fan.
• Knowledge and skills to use mechanical tools and able to do metal structure fabrication.
• Knowledge in manufacturing plant plumbing and piping work
• Experience in firefighting system is an added advantage.
• Possess Chargeman certificate is an added advantage.
• Candidate able to work at Bertam, Kepala Batas.
