Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Selangor, Malaysia is looking for a professional to maintain, inspect, and repair factory machinery and utilities. The role involves establishing and improving the Preventive Maintenance program, supervising contractors, and supporting machinery installation. Ideal candidates have a diploma or degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments, along with strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Familiarity with AutoCAD is essential.

Job description

Maintain, inspect, and repair factory machinery, utilities, and facilities including production equipment, warehouse equipment, HVAC/ACMV, compressed air systems, electrical systems, fire protection systems, and building infrastructure.

Establish, execute, and continuously improve the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.

Supervise external contractors and service providers.

Support machinery installation, modification, and commissioning activities.

Safety, Compliance & Regulatory

Assist in safety incident investigations and corrective actions.

Support compliance with relevant authorities including DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, and ST.

Oversee Scheduled Waste management and WWTP operations in line with regulatory requirements.

Projects, Improvement & Sustainability

Support production, process improvement, and energy efficiency initiatives.

Manage and support engineering and sustainability-related projects, including solar PV systems and water recycling initiatives.

Study and propose improvements to reduce energy and utility consumption.

Liaise with local and overseas vendors, contractors, and service providers.

Skills and Attributes

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in factory utilities, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Ability to work with Auto-cad software and reading Schematics diagrams.
