Job description

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all hotel equipment and facilities
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians and oversee their work to maintain a well-functioning hotel infrastructure
• Conduct regular inspections and identify any issues or areas for improvement, taking prompt action to address them
• Collaborate with the engineering and housekeeping teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruptions to guest experiences
• Monitor and analyse maintenance-related data to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other hotel-specific equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proven team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a skilled maintenance team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant technologies
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documents
