Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Executive will be accountable for overseeing the upkeep and repair of a company’s equipment, machinery, and facilities and is to lead all the maintenance procedures and activities within a company. This includes planning and coordinating maintenance activities, managing budgets, and ensuring that all work adheres to safety regulations. You will be also play a key role in minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
- Execute and enhance Routine Preventative Maintenance systems.
- Respond to on-site emergency breakdowns, including call-outs.
- Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and rectification of electrical control systems.
- Identify faults in DCS, PLC, and network IO systems, with a preference for Simatic system
- Perform maintenance, fault finding, and calibration of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Competent in working on electrical systems up to 440Vac.
- Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment.
- Assist in mechanical and electrical enhancements to plant and equipment.
- Manage spare parts effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safe working practices, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain high standards in documentation and work recording.
- Troubleshoot motors and controls, interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints, handle hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems, conduct maintenance and repairs, implement preventative maintenance, and manage facilities maintenance.
- Adhere to instructions provided by the supervisor.
- Layout and wire control panels with components like motor starters, PLCs, control relays, terminals, etc. Ensure all wiring is labeled according to the print.
- Test each console for proper wiring and calibrate sensors.
- Install consoles onto main systems and wire them to external devices following code regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adhere to company assembly standards and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an industrial electrician with primary duties as an electrical control’s technician in a manufacturing environment. Candidate must possess valid AO Chargeman Certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga or an A4 certification.
- Experience in managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience working with electrical distribution and control systems up to 440 VAC, 3PH. Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying PLC-based control systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and applying pneumatic valves, actuators (pneumatic and electric), sensors (thermocouples, pressure transducers, etc), electric motors, and other typical automation components.
- Effective communication skills in English and ability to differentiate between various wiring colors.
