Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturer in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of production facilities. Goodmaid Chemicals Corporation Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer in the chemical industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's production facilities.

This is a full-time position, and you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the company's equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the organisation.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, equipment, and take appropriate actions to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Actively guide and train maintenance technicians to ensure they are competent in performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Analyse data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improving maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and other departments to ensure that maintenance activities align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and the Environmental Quality Act 1974 in all maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with government agencies, including the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and to address any related matters.
What we’re looking for
  • At least a Diploma in Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address maintenance issues efficiently to reduce downtime.
