Job description

Role Overview

The M&E Engineer / Manager is responsible for supporting and managing overall Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for data center construction projects.

(The level of responsibility, authority, and team leadership will be commensurate with experience and seniority.)

Key Responsibilities :-

Design Review & Technical Coordination

• Participate in and/or lead M&E design reviews during concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions for compliance with data center standards.
• Coordinate M&E interfaces with architectural, structural, and ICT systems.
• Interface with clients, consultants, authorities, and third parties on M&E matters.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide technical clarifications.

Project Technical Strategy & Execution Oversight

• Manage and coordinate M&E contractors and specialist subcontractors on-site.
• Ensure M&E installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project programme.
• Plan and manage M&E testing and commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, and IST.
• Coordinate commissioning sequences and validate system performance under normal and failure scenarios.
• Manage preparation and submission of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and handover documentation.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering/ IT or any related field of studies.
2. Able to comprehend tight timelines and strong communication abilities.
3. Willing to work on Saturdays and/or off working hours based on project criticality.
4. Candidate with industrial/ pharmaceutical projects exposure will be prioritized.
5. Position is full time site-based, to be based in either Klang Valley or Johor

Ps. This position is offered on a 1-year contractual basis, renewable annually subject to performance and project requirements.
