Job summary

A leading plantation company in Lahad Datu, Sabah is looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee operations in the Downstream Manufacturing division. The role encompasses managing inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring adherence to industrial standards, and supervising logistics personnel. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field and have at least 8 years of experience in the palm oil industry. The salary can go up to RM9,000, negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in logistics operation within palm oil industry or similar bulk commodity sector.
  • Certified surveyor under Malaysia Palm Oil Board is acceptable.
  • Willing to relocate or travel if necessary on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist factory manager in daily operations on inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure shipment activities are in order.
  • Monitor inventory level and ensure accuracy in stock count.
  • Ensure adherence to industrial standards including HACCP, GMP, Halal.
  • Supervise and develop logistic personnel.

Working Day/ Hour / Location
  • Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM; Saturday, 8AM - 1PM (5.5 working days)
  • Lahad Datu, Sabah
Job Scope
  • For Downstream Manufacturing division
  • To assist factory manager in daily operations on inbound (material receiving & storing) and outbound (distribution, export & local sales).
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate logistics with business system and process, to ensure all shipment activities are in order.
  • Monitoring inventory level and ensure accuracy in stock count.
  • Ensure adherence to industrial standard and regulations including, but not limited to food safety, hygiene and quality control.
  • Supervise and develop logistic personnel.
  • Supports and ensure compliance of all certifications including HACCP, GMP, Halal, RSPO, MSPO, ISCC and etc.
Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistic, Supply Chain or related field, or certified surveyor under Malaysia Palm Oil Board.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in logistics operation within palm oil industry, or similar bulk commodity sector.
  • Knowledge in import/export regulations and documentation requirement.
  • Communication and coordination skills to interact with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Willing to relocate or travel if necessary on projects and assignments.
Salary
  • Salary: Up to RM9,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
