A logistics management company in Seremban seeks a logistics coordinator to manage international import and export shipments. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics operations, overseeing customs clearances, and handling shipping documents. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in logistics and 2-4 years of relevant experience. Coordinate international import and export shipments via air, sea, and courier services.
Apply the correct Incoterms based on shipment requirements and customer agreements.
Manage customs clearance procedures, including preparing and verifying K1 (Import) and K2 (Export) forms.
Track shipment movement end-to-end, follow up closely with freight forwarders, and resolve any delays, routing issues, or delivery discrepancies.
Prepare, review, and maintain all shipping documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, permits, COO certificates, MSDS, and other regulatory documents.
Negotiate freight rates and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective shipping solutions.
Coordinate with internal departments (sales, warehouse, production) to ensure timely shipment readiness and accurate documentation.
Monitor import/export regulations and ensure shipments comply with local and international trade requirements.
Manage logistics records, shipment databases, and filing for audit or reporting purposes.
Handle claims for lost or damaged goods and coordinate with insurers or forwarders to resolve cases. Plan and optimize shipment schedules to meet customer delivery timelines while minimizing cost.
Administer all LMW documentation and processes (CJ5, CJ5A, ZB1, ZB2).
Ensure full compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs (JKDM), MIDA, MITI, and other authorities.
Track and control movement of duty-exempt raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for customs audits and yearly LMW submissions.
Track logistics KPIs (e.g., lead time, delivery performance, freight cost).
Support internal and external audits (customs, finance, ISO).
Maintain up-to-date records for logistics compliance and procurement contracts.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in logistics and purchasing, preferably in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and customs/trade platforms (e.g., DagangNet).
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Fluent in Mandarin speaking and writing to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Familiarity with cleanroom requirements and ESD-sensitive material handling.
Knowledge of FTA utilization, import tax exemptions, and MIDA/MITI incentive schemes.
Experience in sourcing semiconductor-grade materials or technical components.
