Position Description

Role Purpose

Under general supervision, performs a variety of distribution and/or warehouse duties that may include packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping and material handling. May assist as required with clerical assignments, such as shipping and receiving, and inventory using a computerized system.

Location: Dairymas, Lot 7&9, Jalan Sg Kayu Ara 32, Seksyen 32, 40460, Shah Alam, Selangor

The role involves working in a cold environment / Requires rotating across 3 shifts / Work schedule is 5.5 days per week

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, performs a variety of distribution and/or warehouse duties that may include packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping and material handling.
  • Utilize automated warehouse or distribution management system.
  • Complete QDRs (Quality Deficiency Reports) and scrap tickets on defective materials and verify rejected materials with operator. Complete Bills of Lading on recyclable items.
  • Enter new items onto item file maintenance (description, weight and other item storage/pick characteristics).
  • Report and record discrepancies to originating departments.
  • Process work in process, finished goods, raw material and branch assignments into computer.
  • Keypunch transaction tickets and place move tickets on proper loads.
  • Maintain inventory, out list‑direct incoming stock to pick/drop areas.
  • Operate hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage of products throughout site, such as hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices.
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations.
  • May lie out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.
  • Verify that materials delivered are in good condition and specifically as ordered. Identify items and quantity for each load before movement to stores location or destination.
  • Move, count, sort, stack, arrange material in designated locations. See that materials are properly marked before bringing and returning to delivery of drop areas.
  • Check trash, recyclables and cardboard compactor and call appropriate removal company when necessary.
  • Detect and report to immediate supervisor or to Quality Control Department any damaged goods, shortages, unidentified materials and other unusual conditions.
  • Practice all food safety, health and safety procedures, policies and practices.
  • Attend all required safety and technical training.
  • Understands and implements those ISO 9000, GMP and HACCP procedures, that relate to the role and responsibilities of a Logistics Assistant.
