A leading plantation company in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Executive to manage transportation operations, including trip planning, fleet management, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma or degree in logistics or a related field, have strong skills in trip planning and cost control, and be able to work under pressure. Position: Logistics Executive (Transportation)
Job Purpose:
To manage the company’s transportation operations including lorry trip planning, journey monitoring, fleet and driver coordination, and transportation cost control. To ensure deliveries are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and QMS/ISO requirements.
Trip Planning & Coordination
Plan and schedule lorry trips, assign drivers and vehicles, and determine efficient routes. Monitor trip execution and resolve delays or operational issues.
Records & Documentation
Maintain trip records, Delivery Orders (DO), Proof of Delivery (POD), and related documentation. Prepare reports on trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and toll usage.
Fuel Card & Cost Management
Manage Shell Card, Touch ’n Go, and other transportation payment facilities. Reconcile monthly statements with trip records and monitor expenses to control transportation costs.
Fleet Management
Ensure lorries are properly maintained and serviced. Coordinate inspections, repairs, and ensure validity of road tax, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
Driver Management
Coordinate driver schedules, ensure compliance with SOPs and road safety regulations, maintain driver records, and address performance or discipline issues.
Operational Improvement & Compliance
Analyze transportation data, recommend process improvements, support internal audits, and ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and QMS/ISO standards.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Experience in transportation operations or fleet management is an advantage.
Skills: Trip planning, cost control, record management, reporting, and proficiency in MS Excel.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and able to work under pressure with high integrity.
