Notice and takedown is a process operated by online hosts in response to court orders or allegations that content is illegal. It is widely operated in relation to copyright infringement, as well as for libel and other illegal content online.
Project Objective
- To remove content from the client portal that may violate the law.
- To comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) policy that governs the internet policy on copyright infringement.
When content on the client portal may violate the law and is reported by a user, our team carefully reviews the material and considers blocking, removing, or restricting access to it. Two kinds of activity are performed:
- © takedown‑notice procedure for copyright holders to request that content be removed.
- Counter‑notice procedure for users to get content re‑enabled when a takedown occurs by mistake.
Competency Required
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in an MNC or a similar educational background.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to visualize, articulate, conceptually solve complex and uncomplicated problems by making sensible decisions based on available information.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality results while paying strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high volume and complex demands.
- Strong desire to learn continually as the work is dynamic and changing over time.
- Comfortable and understanding that the work will involve reviewing internet content that may be deemed inappropriate and/or contain explicit material.
- Business‑centric skills to work on relevant bugs and coordinate with the client to close tickets within the target turnaround time (TAT).
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 environment.

Certification / Qualification
Any graduate / law graduate will be given more preference.
Key Responsibilities for the Role
- Work on various queues and complete assigned tickets on a daily basis within the TAT.
- Understand the client’s internal copyright policies and processes.
- Raise bugs as applicable through the ticket life cycle.
- Carefully assess, review, and evaluate legal complaints to determine whether allegedly violating content should be blocked, removed, or restricted.
- Ensure proper due‑diligence and compliance adherence for copyright takedown, legal and non‑legal counter‑notices, and circumvention processes.
- Investigate and examine copyright removal requests submitted by copyright owners and reporting organizations to determine applicability of DMCA for the client’s products.
- Distinguish and process legal and non‑legal counter‑notices, following detailed validation and examination to identify the copyrighted work and decide on content restoration.
- Share and exchange information with copyright owners, reporting organizations, business partners, legal professionals, and government officials—intimating, updating, and following up on legal and compliance procedures.
- Work on the tool and propose innovation ideas.
- Flexibly adjust working hours according to client needs.
- Review sensitive content, which may involve graphic or disturbing text, videos, or images.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality while meeting strict deadlines.
