Legal Associate / Legal Content Creation Executive

Legal Associate: Responsibilities include drafting cause papers such as pleadings and affidavits, conducting legal research and drafting written submissions, attending court for case management, hearings and trials, supporting partners and administrative tasks, managing litigation files and meeting timelines, data entry and uploading documents to legal systems (EFS, etc.), organizing and maintaining documents, templates and legal data, and handling client correspondence, status reports and affidavit signing.

Legal Content Creation Executive: Responsibilities include developing and drafting legal content for the firm’s website, social media platforms, newsletters and client publications; translating complex legal concepts into clear, accurate and accessible content for the general public without providing legal advice; working closely with lawyers in content production; and assisting the firm in researching ongoing matters.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Legal Associate: Must be called to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Legal Content Creation Executive: Degree or professional qualification in law, communications, journalism or a related field; reasonable understanding of the Malaysian legal system and legal terminology; demonstrated experience in legal writing, content creation or journalism; awareness of professional ethics and restrictions applicable to legal marketing in Malaysia.

  • Excellent command of written English and/or Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are an advantage).
