A global specialty chemical company is seeking a Learning & Development Partner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will facilitate training, assist in program design, and work closely with stakeholders to support employee development. Overview

Huntsman Corporation is seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Partner to empower employees in APAC to reach their full potential and align learning initiatives with strategic business objectives. As a trusted partner to stakeholders at all levels, the ideal candidate designs, implements, and evaluates impactful learning programs to support the organization’s long-term growth. The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • Instructor Led Training: Facilitate learning and development programs related to business and leadership skills, including a combination of in-person and virtual delivery.
  • Program Design: Assist in the instructional design of new programs to meet business needs and employee development goals.
  • Cross – Functional Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including HRBPs and leaders; collaborate to understand development needs, provide strategic advice, and ensure successful implementation of learning initiatives.
  • E-Learning: Promote e-learning content and create development tracks with LinkedIn Learning.
  • Learning & Development Programs: Assist with annual planning, gather internal nominations, develop the annual calendar, and track participants. Support the Americas Learning & Development Manager, HRBPs, and stakeholders with training coordination and logistics.
  • Shared Services Center Learning Roadmap: Support the Shared Services learning roadmap for Kuala Lumpur.
  • Management Reporting: Generate HRIS reports, conduct data analysis, and provide executive summaries for management reporting.
  • Leadership Assessments: Manage the third-party assessment process, including initiating requests, communicating with internal stakeholders, and generating reports.
  • Onboarding Program: Support the effective onboarding of all associates in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Assist with LMS requests and collaborate with the HR Shared Services organization to provide LMS support across the region.
  • Vendor Management: Request new vendor creation, manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders, process invoices, and collaborate with the purchasing group as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including experience in Learning and Development.
  • Prior experience facilitating training both in person and virtually.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred; experience with Workday Learning is a plus.
  • Prior experience with leadership assessments is a plus.
  • Facilitation – ability to deliver training to groups in person and virtually; engage participants with relevant scenarios and application of training content.
  • Proactiveness – takes initiative to propose solutions and drive L&D initiatives without constant supervision; demonstrates a growth mindset.
  • Customer Focus – collaborates with stakeholders to understand learning needs and ensure programs are designed with end-users in mind for high engagement and satisfaction.
  • Communicates Effectively & Collaboration – strong interpersonal and communication skills; builds partnerships with HRBPs and business leaders; conveys information clearly and professionally.
  • Planning and Organizing – works independently with planning, organizing, and prioritizing Learning & Development activities to meet business objectives.
