Job summary

A leading insurance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a candidate to lead the support and enhancement of its General Insurance Core application system. This role requires hands-on support, incident resolution, and collaboration across teams. The ideal applicant will possess strong Java skills, SQL experience, and a minimum of 9 years in a relevant field. It’s essential to have a Bachelor's in Computer Science and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work outside standard hours is also necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong design and programming skills in Java and related technologies.
• Good working experience in SQL is a MUST, ETL will be an advantage.
• Experience in working on General Insurance related systems.
• Min 9 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidate must have good interpersonal skill and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead support and enhancement of General Insurance Core application.
• Provide 1st Level support for applications and incident resolution.
• Manage BAU activities including incident resolution and performance tuning.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps culture.
• Conduct system and integration testing.
