A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations and production activities. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a production environment. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to schedules, enhancing workflow efficiency, and managing production staff through training and support. Strong knowledge of production planning and quality systems is essential for this role.
Lead and supervise daily production activities, ensuring smooth operations and achievement of production targets.
Monitor team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and training to production staff.
Ensure production schedules are met with high quality and cost efficiency.
Uphold compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive upkeep and quick resolution of machine breakdowns.
Monitor raw material and consumable inventory; liaise with Warehouse, Procurement, and other departments for timely replenishment.
Support LEAN, 5S, Kaizen and other continuous improvement programs.
Prepare and maintain production reports, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Certification in Production/Operations Management is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
Familiar with ERP/SAP systems and MS Office applications.
Sound understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, 5S, Kaizen).
Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
At least 2 years in a supervisory, team lead, or senior production role.
Experience working with industrial machinery, fabrication, or assembly processes.
Proactive and solution-oriented.
High integrity with strong commitment to workplace safety.
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
