Job summary

A leading firm in the offshore industry is seeking a Lead Estimator to oversee the development of project cost estimates for large offshore projects. The successful candidate will have at least 9 years of experience in Marine Conversion and Offshore Oil & Gas operations, with expertise in cost estimation and management. Responsibilities include preparing comprehensive estimates, consolidating vendor inputs, and collaborating with cost control teams. A Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent is required. This is a contract position located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years in Marine Conversion and Offshore Oil & Gas operations, with at least 7 years in cost estimation and control.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review comprehensive project cost estimates, including CAPEX.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Estimator to oversee the development and consolidation of project cost estimates for large-scale offshore projects. This position requires strong coordination skills to manage inputs from vendors, partners, and internal teams, ensuring accurate and competitive estimates that meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review comprehensive project cost estimates, including CAPEX and related data.
  • Consolidate vendor and partner estimates into a single, accurate cost model.
  • Maintain and update cost databases for future reference.
  • Conduct cost benchmarking and identify areas for pricing improvement.

Requirements
