Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to innovate and optimize glass production processes. The role involves driving quality improvements, performing cost engineering, and enhancing efficiency through automation. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in CNC and polishing techniques, with a background in MNC preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with CNC knowledge.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably with MNC.
  • Knowledge in Double Side & Single Side Polishing is required.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing is needed.
  • Experience in machine automation & Project Management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and develop manufacturing processes to meet product requirements.
  • Drive continuous quality improvements and ensure adherence to product quality requirements.
  • Optimize glass production processes using the 5M approach.
  • Perform cost-down and value engineering activities for cost-effective production.
  • Conduct statistical and technical analysis to address production failures.
  • Improve process efficiency through automation and IT initiatives.
