Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our team at Epsilon Medical Devices Sdn Bhd in Kamunting, Perak. As a Lab Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and contributing to the development of innovative medical devices. This is a full‑time position that offers opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic POD command collaborative working environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Assist in the preparation, processing, and analysis of lab samples and data
• Perform routine lab procedures and tests according to standard operating protocols
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
• Document and record all laboratory activities, findings, and observations
• Support the lab team in the implementation of quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support as needed
• Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the laboratory

What we’re looking for

• A diploma or degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as laboratory technology, biomedical science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related discipline
• At least 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to/service them navigate with colleagues
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures
