A lubricant analysis firm based in Johor Bahru is seeking a conscientious Lab Analyst to join their team. The role involves providing customer support for oil analysis, collating test data, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, alongside good report writing skills. A strong background in oil testing and laboratory work is advantageous.

Responsibilities:
Provide customer service and support on oil analysis. Technical discussion with customers (reliability & mech maintenance teams).
Collate and interpret the test data to generate Oil Analysis Reports
Operate laboratory equipment to conduct tests on lubricant samples, eg: Viscometer, AES Spectrometer, FTIR, Titrators, Ferrography, etc.
Maintain laboratory equipment with scheduled maintenance and calibration.
Be Involved in Quality Assurance & Projects
Dependent on organizational need and your performance, you may in the future be granted the opportunity with assignments as Technical Trainer on our Oil Analysis & Lubrication training courses.
Min Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years work experience (industry) - MUST HAVE WORK EXPERIENCE
Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with good report writing skill.
Good to have criteria below:
Preferable with experience in OIL testing
Preferable with a member of Institut Kimia Malaysia
Laboratory work experience in a ISO17025 environment is an asset.
Aptitude for high-power optical microscopy (up to 1,000x).
Hands-on experience in condition monitoring (Machinery Oil Analysis and/Vibration Analysis), maintenance and servicing of in-plant machinery will be a strong asset.
